Pork chops in a delicious creamy sauce

Pork chops in a delicious creamy sauce

Chops are a great dinner solution, especially once the wintery Irish chill sets in and your kids come home shivering. Heat them up with these pork chops in 15 minutes. Complete your meal by serving the chops with Tesco Caesar Salad. It’s really easy to make, the salad even comes ready to go with the dressing in the bag!

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 10 minutes

Servings: 4 people

  • Olive oil, for greasing
  • 4 Tesco Irish pork chops
  • 2 tbsp Tesco wholegrain mustard
  • 250ml of good quality apple cider
  • 100g Tesco Half Fat Crème Fraiche
  • 240g Tesco Caesar Salad Bag

Place a large griddle pan over a high heat and add a little olive oil to prevent the chops from sticking.

Cook the chops without crowding them for five minutes on one side and then flip them over and cook for a further 2 minutes. Take care, as they tend to spit!

Remove the chops to a plate and allow them to rest. Pour the cider into the griddle pan then add the wholegrain mustard and crème fraiche.

Cook, stirring, until the sauce has reduced by half. Cooking will remove the cider but you’ll still be left with a lovely apple-flavoured creamy sauce that’s absolutely okay for your kids.

Pour your sauce over the chops and serve with Tesco Caesar Salad. You can add a little peeled chopped apple to the salad for a finishing touch. It’ll taste as good as it looks!
