Pasta with Beef and Broccoli

Leftover pasta with beef and broccoli

In recognition of our partnership with FoodCloud, we bring you this easy to make recipe that helps you use up leftover meat and veg.

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 20 minutes

Servings: 2 people

  • 150g dried pasta of your choice
  • 325g broccoli, cut into small florets
  • 3tbsp crème fraiche
  • 1tsp crushed dried chillies
  • 200g beef

If you are using leftover meat, it needs to be thoroughly reheated until piping hot and should never be re-heated more than once.

If you are cooking from scratch, pan fry the beef and ensure it's cooked through before adding it to this dish.

Bring a large pan of water to the boil and cook the pasta according to the packet instructions, adding the broccoli for the final 3 minutes of cooking time.

Drain the pasta, reserving a mug of the cooking water. Tip the pasta and broccoli back into the pan.

Add the beef, crème fraîche and crushed chillies and stir well. Add enough of the reserved pasta cooking water to form a creamy sauce that coats the pasta.

Check that the beef is heated right through and serve immediately.

Surplus food is food that is perfectly fit for human consumption but cannot be sold for a variety of reasons (e.g. fresh produce that will not be sold the next day, short dated product, slightly damaged packaging or mistakes in ordering).
