Red Potato and Sausage Bake

Red potatoes have deliciously buttery, creamy flesh that works brilliantly roasted alongside chipolata sausages and sweet apples. This seriously comforting one-tray dinner is a definite family favourite.

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 45 minutes

Servings: 5 people

Preheat the oven to gas 6, 200°C, fan 180°C.

Arrange the potatoes on a large baking tray and drizzle with 1 tbsp oil.

Season, then roast for 15 minutes.

Remove from the oven and add the sausages, apples, onion and sage.

Drizzle with the remaining oil and toss with a large spoon.

Cook for another 30 minutes, or until golden.

Meanwhile, put the glaze ingredients into a pan and bring to a simmer.

Cook for 10-12 minutes, until reduced and thickened.

Pour half the glaze over the mixture for the last 5 minutes of cooking.

Remove from the oven and drizzle with the remaining glaze to serve.
