French Toast and Fruit

Once you give this French toast recipe a go you'll be surprised how easy it is to make and no doubt be eager to try it again.

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 10 minutes

Servings: 2 people


Place the water, apple and frozen fruit into a pan and cook over a medium heat for 3-4 minutes until they are completely warmed through.

Meanwhile, beat the eggs and milk together, then soak the bread slices in the mixture, turning a couple of times to make sure all the liquid has been absorbed.

Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the slices of bread and cook gently, turning a couple of times until the bread is golden brown on both sides.



1 apple, peeled and grated 
200g frozen berries / forest fruits
2tbsp water
2 free range eggs
2tsp semi-skimmed milk
2 slices thick wholemeal bread
2tsp sunflower oil
