Chicken chow mein recipe

Servings: 4 people


Bring a large pot of water to the boil and cook the medium sized noodles as per instruction on the pack normally for 3-4 minutes. Drain, refresh with cold water and set aside until later.

Heat the olive oil in a wok, add the diced chicken, cook for 5 minutes before adding the ginger, garlic, mushrooms, peppers and broccoli, stirring all the time cook for a further 4 minutes. Add the sesame oil and sliced scallions.

Next add the cooked noodles, soy and oyster sauce, stir well and cook for 2 minutes until the noodles are hot.

Transfer to 4 bowls and scatter with sesame seeds.


4 Tesco chicken breasts (diced)
2 red peppers (diced)

1 head of broccoli (cut in
100g mushrooms (sliced)

4 scallions (sliced)
2 tbsp olive oil

 tbsp sesame seeds to garnish
4 nests of medium egg noodles


For the Sauce:
2 garlic cloves
5cm fresh root ginger (chopped)
3 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp oyster sauce
