The Great Irish Bake for Temple Street 2016

We are delighted to let you know we raised €155,000 for Temple Street through the Great Irish Bake! It’s also helped to drive our fundraising total for Temple Street to over €1.6 million since October 2014.

The Great Irish Bake Off

A big thank you to each and every one of you who went over and above to raise serious dough for this great cause. We visited stores on Friday and it was heart-warming to see our colleagues showing their amazing sense of community. Nationwide, we baked and sold over 700 cakes and 15,000 buns, fancies and treats with colleagues giving their own time volunteering to support this great cause. Singer Bryan Kennedy even took the time to visit our Newcastlewest store to help out.

Where the Money Goes

Temple Street Children’s University Hospital provides life-saving treatment, as well as understanding and hope, to children all over Ireland. All of the money raised will be used to buy Braun Pump Systems for four wards at Temple Street, pumps that make giving fluids and medicine to patients that little bit easier. These pumps will be used by most of the 150,000 little heroes who visit Temple Street every year.
