Detox Breakfast Smoothie

This brightly coloured smoothie is a great way to kick start your morning, and sets you well on the way to getting your five-a-day. Kale is packed full of antioxidants and fibre while the coconut and pineapple give this smoothie a deliciously tropical taste.

Servings: 2 people

Ingredients

  • 40g tender-leaf kale
  • 200ml pineapple juice
  • 125g pineapple chunks
  • 1 banana, peeled and sliced
  • 3 tbsp low-fat coconut yogurt
  • 1 tbsp honey

Preparation

Put the kale and pineapple juice in a blender and blend until smooth.

Add the remaining ingredients and blitz until really smooth.

Check the consistency - if it’s a little thick, add a splash more pineapple juice or some water and blend again.
