Step 1

Download and print your bunting template. Cut around the green edge of the shamrock and the shield shape. These will be your templates for cutting out the felt.

Step 2

Take the shield template shape and put it against the Brown felt paper. Pin it in place with a pin or safety pin. You should be able to cut out four shields from an A4 sheet of felt. It's best to cut an uneven number such as five or seven pieces in total. On the felt cut outs mark where the fold line is with a dot to make your life easier later.

Tip: Put your shield template along the corners of the felt page so that you have two straight edges already cut for you each time.

Using the green and white felt cut out seven shamrocks. You want to have three in one colour and four in another.

Cut 145cm of twine.

Take a shield cut out and add glue to the very top side. You will be folding this over the twine and it will then stick the same way an envelope would.

Glue and fold over all the shield shapes along your twine as shown in the photo. Make sure all your glueing and folding is done on the same side.

Glue the back of each shamrock and fix them to the bunting. Keep a pattern going of green, white, green white.
